During the early morning hours on June 15, 2008, Claremore received nearly 4" of rain in a very short amount of time. Wind speeds were estimated to be 70 mph or above.
Pecan Park received heavy damage due to flash flooding from a nearby creek and high wind. It has taken weeks to clean up. Here are pictures of the park during the high water.
